(wsu) Wichita State was out scored by South Florida 54-41 in a defensive battle Tuesday night.
The Shockers forced 18 turnovers and held the host Bulls to just 30 percent from the field but committed 20 turnovers of their own and hit just 28.3 percent. Marcus McDuffie led the Shockers offense with 11 points. Wichita State falls to 8-10, 1-5 in the American Conference. They play at UConn on Saturday.
