The Emporia High boys basketball team scored the games first 11 points and cruised to a 77-48 win over Goddard in the consolation semi-finals of the Ralph Miller Classic Friday.
Coach Beau Welch called it a good step forward.
Charles Snyder led the offense with 17 points. Kyler McCullough added 13 points and Jace Stewart finished with 10 points. The Spartans will play Leavenworth Saturday in the 5th place game at 3:45p.
Leavenworth out scored Field-Kindley Coffeyville 71-60 in overtime.
In the Championship semi-finals Olathe North defeated Chanute 65-52.
Andover Central was a 72-61 winner over Republic, Missouri.
Todays Schedule at Chanute begins with Coffeyville playing Goddard in the 7th place game.
Emporia High plays Leavenworth in the 5th place game.
