An active week of weather takes a bit of a break Thursday.
There is still an outside risk of freezing fog across parts of the KVOE listening area Thursday morning, and a dense fog advisory is in effect for Coffey and Greenwood counties until 10 am. Fog could be patchy all morning long.
TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers is looking ahead to our next winter storm, which will start as light rain Thursday afternoon before transitioning to snow overnight.
Even though projected snow totals have come down a lot since forecasts of 4-8 inches were discussed Tuesday, there will still be a bite to this winter storm. Low temperatures of 19 degrees Friday night will be accompanied by northerly winds as high as 35 mph.
