Addie Lackeys 3 point basket with 16 seconds to play lifted the Emporia State women to a 54-51 win over number 3 ranked Fort Hays State Wednesday night.
Emporia State Coach Toby Wynn called it great bounce back win.
At halftime the game was tied at 25. The Lady Hornets went on a 12-0 run to start the 3rd quarter to take a 12 point lead. In the 4th quarter Fort Hays went on a 15-4 run to take a 2 point lead. Tiana Moala tied the game and Addie Lackey hit the game winner. Tyra Jones led Emporia State with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Emily Miller finished with 10 points. Jessica Wayne finished with 10 rebounds. Fort Has was led by Taylor Rolfs with 13 points. The Lady Hornets with the win improve to 12-4 for the season and 3-3 in the MIAA. they will host Nebraska Kearney Sunday with tipoff at 1:30p.
