The Newman Regional Health emergency department project is getting a financial boost from the hospital’s auxiliary department.
The Newman Regional Health Auxiliary Board presented a $10,000 check to CEO Bob Wright and Facilities Director Harold Blits during a recent meeting.
The donation comes as the hospital prepares to flesh out its new emergency department complex. The new emergency department, which doubles the number of available beds and triples the space of the prior emergency room, came online early this month after ExpressCare moved from Flinthills Mall just before Christmas. A new cath lab and infusion clinic area should be available for patients by the end of this month. The Clinical Decision unit, also known as patient observation, could move from third floor by late January or early February.
