The Kansas Jayhawks held on for a 80-78 win over the Texas Longhorns Monday night.
Kansas Coach Bill Self called it a good game.
Kansas scored the games first 8 points. Texas led at halftime 40-38. Kansas held a 10 point lead with 5 minutes to play. Texas cut the lead to 1 with 9 seconds to play. Marcus Garrett made 1 of 2 free throws for the final margin. Garrett finished with a career high 20 points.
Lagerald Vick scored 21 points. Dedric Lawson added 17 points and Devon Dotson scored 10 points. The Jayhawks are now 15-2 for the season and 4-1 in the Big-12 they play at West Virginia Saturday.
