What was reported to authorities as a vehicle fire Wednesday evening turned out not to be the case.
Emporia Fire was alerted about a reported vehicle fire at 12th and Commercial around 5:20 pm. Fire crews say the smoke allegedly from a fire was actually an accidental discharge from a vaping pen.
There were no injuries and there was no damage to the vehicle in question.
