The Emporia High wrestling team defeated Paola but lost to Topeka Seaman in duels Tuesday.
The Spartans won 10 matches in the duel with Paola and won 57-24.
Pierce Moore, Josiah Huber, Trey Simons, Ethan Garate, Isaac Huber, Anthony Delgado, Drew Baker and Whitney Hall all won their matches by fall. Diego Davila won by a 13-7 decision and Dalton Leek won by default.
They were defeated by Topeka Seaman 48-25.
Anthony Delgado and Whitney Hall won their matches by fall. Ethan Garate won by major decision 11-3. A.J. Rodriquez won 5-0. Drew Baker won by default.
The Spartan wrestlers go to Newton beginning Friday.
