Nobody was transported after a reported injury accident involving two semis on Interstate 35 Monday evening.
Authorities were called out to I-35 mile marker 136, three miles east of the East Sixth Avenue exit, around 6:10 pm after two northbound semis apparently collided. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a semi driven by Michael Nederhoff of Arizona was traveling northbound when his passenger side tire blew out causing him to collide with a semi driven by Salih Ahmed of Missouri.
Nederhoff was treated on scene, however, refused a trip to the hospital afterward. Ahmed apparently suffered no injuries.
All traffic in the northbound lane was briefly blocked after the accident. Traffic was down to one lane for roughly two hours as crews worked to clear the semis from the right lane.
Crews cleared the scene just after 8 pm.
