Texas used a strong 2nd half to roll to a 67-47 win over Kansas State Wednesday.
The Wildcats went scoreless for a 3 minute stretch in the 2nd half as Texas turned a 6 point lead into a 16 point lead. The Longhorns made 9 three point baskets in the 2nd half and 14 for the game to power their offense. Kansas State shot only 32 percent from the floor. Coach Bruce Weber said there were to many breakdowns.
Makol Mawien was the lone Wildcat to score in double figures with 13 points.
Kansas State played without Dean Wade and Kamau Stokes who also missed the game due to injury.
The Wildcats fall to 10-3 for the season and 0-1 in the Big-12. They play at Texas Tech Saturday.
