Light rain is possible across the KVOE listening area for much of New Year’s Eve. However, temperatures have stayed warm enough to virtually eliminate any chance of icing.
Temperatures dipped to the mid-30s overnight, warm enough to keep all precipitation wet at the surface. There was some concern of a wintry rain, freezing rain, snow and sleet mix had temperatures dropped to 32 degrees.
Area residents could see freezing drizzle early Monday evening. As that chance ends, colder temperatures will push across the area. Overnight lows are expected in the mid-teens with wind chills possibly going below zero.
