The High School basketball season resumes Friday, January 4th.
Emporia High will be hosting Topeka Seaman.

Washburn Rural is in first place in the boys standings. Topeka High and Topeka Seaman are tied for 2nd place. Emporia High is tied for 4th place with Manhattan and Topeka Hayden.
Junction City is in 7th place, Highland Park 8th and Topeka West 9th.
Emporia High boys Coach Beau Welch says they will need to become more consistent offensively.
Washburn Rural also tops the girls standings. Highland Park is in 2nd place. Topeka High and Manhattan are tied for 3rd place. Topeka Seaman is in 5th place, Emporia High is in 6th place. Topeka West, Junction City and Hayden are tied for 7th place.
For Emporia High girls Coach Carolyn Dorsey guard play has been a pleasant surprise.
