If you’re looking for a White Christmas, wait until next year.
Rainfall is possible Monday evening, but no snowflakes are expected. Temperatures could dip below freezing, so icing could be an issue.
Christmas Day should be dry, but rain is now likely early Wednesday, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Kyle Poage.
Poage says there is an outside chance for thunderstorms, and a strong storm is not out of the question but is unlikely.
Rain should end by midday Thursday. As Poage mentioned, portions of western Kansas and Nebraska could wind up with heavy snow as a result of this overall storm system.
