Newman Express Care has officially reopened its doors after a relocation earlier this week.
After moving from its previous location at Flinthills Mall Thursday, operations are now up and running at the facilities new home as a part of Newman Regional Health’s new Emergency Department.
CEO Bob Wright says the same list of medical services are available at the facility, however, the financial process has changed. Previously, Express Care required an upfront payment of some sort. Now, Wright says patients will get financial options after their treatment, including income-based financial assistance or payment plans.
In addition to the recent move of Express Care, the Clinical Decision Unit or patient observation unit will also be moving to the new Emergency Department. That move is anticipated to take place by Jan. 6.
