An Emporia man was taken to Newman Regional Health after a two-vehicle accident, and subsequent rollover on the Kansas Turnpike Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a call for an injury accident at mile marker 114 southbound, or 13 miles southwest of Emporia shortly after 10 am. According to the KTA Crash log, a 2002 Ford Ranger driven by 56-year-old Larry Barb of Emporia made a lane change and clipped a 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by 25-year-old Holly Townley of Carrol, Ia.
Barb then lost control of his vehicle and rolled into a ditch. He was taken to Newman Regional Health with what were described as minor injuries. Townley was not hurt, both individuals were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a reported injury crash on the Kansas Turnpike.
Details are still spotty, however, the Kansas Turnpike Authority is reporting two vehicles are involved. The Emporia Fire Department has stated at least one vehicle rolled.
The crash occurred at KTA mile marker 114 southbound, or 13 miles southwest of Emporia. Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 10 am.
There is currently no word on the number of patients involved or the severity of injuries.
