Local law enforcement continues an investigation into recent vehicle thefts from an Emporia used car dealership.
Four vehicles were stolen from Lopez Auto, 515 Albert, early this month. Police Capt. Dave DeVries says all have now been recovered, including a Ford Mustang that was destroyed by fire near Schankie Well Service outside Madison.
There is currently no word on the number of suspects potentially involved and no descriptive information has been released at this time. However, DeVries says suspects have been identified as the investigation continues.
Greenwood County Sheriff Heath Samuels has said investigators are not confirming arson with the burned car unless additional information points the case in that direction.
