Newman Regional Health will be the site of a sweet fundraiser Tuesday morning.
Cookies for Claus will be taking place at Newman throughout the day. The event is essentially a large bake sale and is a major fundraiser for the Newman Regional Health Auxillary, which aids the hospital in a variety of capacities.
Auxiliary spokesperson Rosetta Fields explains the services of the Auxiliary goes far beyond just being the faces that greet you at the hospital entrance.
Fields adds, the Auxiliary is currently in need of more volunteers to work in the in the Gift Shoppe and Snack Bar, as well as to greet patients and visitors at four information desks throughout Newman. Cookies for Claus will begin at 8 am, with tables located at the east and north lobbies of the hospital and will feature a wide selection of baked goods including cinnamon rolls, breads, pies and of course plenty of cookies. Tables will be located at both the east and north lobbies, the event will run until 1 pm or supplies run out.
