Several north Lyon County fire departments and Lyon County deputies responded to a reported combine fire near Allen on Monday.
The fire was reported near the intersection of Roads 330 and L, about a mile south of Allen, on Monday morning. Undersheriff John Koelsch says there was little in the way of fire, although a combination of bean dust and a belt caused some smoke in the vehicle.
In fact, Koelsch says the combine driver — who has not been named — was using the equipment later in the day.
Firefighters from Allen-Admire, Miller and Reading were dispatched to the call. No injuries were reported.
