The Emporia High wrestling team finished in 3rd place out of 14 teams at the Emporia Winter Classic Saturday. Two Spartans came away with championships.
Isaac Huber took first at 160 pounds. Anthony Delgado finished in first place at 170 pounds. Levi Buckridge finished in 2nd place after an injury default.Two Spartans finished in 3rd place – Efren Palomares at 145 and Whitney Hall at 220. Four Spartans finished in 4th place – Brooks Sauder at 106, Trey Simons at 138, AJ Rodriguez at 182 and Dalton Leek at 285. Cadon Osborne finished in 6th place at 195. Lawrence Free State took the team title and Junction City finished in 2nd place, 1 team point in front of Emporia High.
