The Los Angeles Chargers edged the Kansas City Chiefs 29-28 Thursday night, thanks to a 2 point conversion after the Chargers scored with 4 seconds to play in the game.
The Chiefs led the entire game until the last 4 seconds. The Chargers scored two touchdowns in the final 4 minutes of the game.
Chiefs Coach Andy Reid said it was penalties that cost the Chiefs.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns. One to Demarcus Robinson and one to Darrel Williams. Demetrius Williams scored two rushing touchdowns. Mahomes said they failed to execute when they needed to in the 4th quarter.
Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers threw 2 touchdown passes and 2 interceptions. Mike Williams had 2 touchdown pass receptions, a touchdown run and the 2 point conversion pass.
The Chiefs fall to 11-3 for the season. They play at Seattle next Sunday.
