Emporia State University has some celebrating coming the next couple days.
Commencement activities are taking place both Friday night and Saturday. As was the case last year, the ceremonies will be split. Graduate ceremonies begin at 6 pm Friday evening, with undergraduate ceremonies at 9:30 am Saturday. Both sets of ceremonies will take place at White Auditorium.
Regents President Blake Flanders will have the featured remarks during the Friday ceremony. Roe Cross Professor and Kansas Poet Laureate Kevin Rabas is the commencement speaker Saturday.
Students getting diplomas are told to be at White Auditorium an hour before their respective ceremonies.
