The joyous sounds of Christmas music echoed through the halls of the First United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon from the Emporia Chorale.
Fourteen magical songs were sung by the many members of the Emporia Chorale. Some of the more famous songs were Away in a Manger, Gabriel’s Message, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
The concert was conducted by Dr. Robert Ward with accompanying piano music from Tiffany Budke. All donations received from the concert will be going to the First United Methodist Church’s food pantry.
The Emporia Chorale is open to students and citizens from the Emporia area. Rehearsals are on Mondays at 7:00 pm and new members are always welcome.
