The Emporia High boys swim team finished in 5th place out of 6 teams at the Emporia Invitational Tuesday.
Individually for Emporia High diver Reed Slayden finished in 2nd place.
Steve Clausen finished in 2nd place in the 100 butterfly with a state consideration time.
He also finished in 4th place in the 200 free.
Salina South won the team title, Topeka Seaman was 2nd and Salina Central 3rd.
The Spartan swimmers will host Blue Valley Southwest in a duel Friday.
