Emporia State senior Tyra Jones has been named the MIAA womens basketball player of the week.
The senior from Detroit had her third double-double of the season with 19 points, ten rebounds and a season high four assists in the #25 Lady Hornets 82-64 victory over Newman Saturday.
The Lady Hornets and Hornets open MIAA play Thursday at Nebraska Kearney.
