This weekend marks the 15th year for Plumb Place’s annual Artist Open House for the community to come and support local artists as well as the women staying at the facility.
Director Clara Corn, one of the presenters, was grateful for the turnout during the two-day event. Corn gives us some history on the Plumb Place and why it was started.
Artist and organizer Terry Maxwell has been part of the open house since the first one back in 2003 — and he was also part of the original open house, along with the late Hal Berger, from 1994 until Berger’s passing. He holds Plumb Place in a very high esteem.
The event is a showcase for local and area artists, and there is always a silent auction to benefit Plumb Place. Totals are pending. Upcoming events for Plumb Place are also pending.
