Bells were jingling and lights were twinkling in downtown Cottonwood Falls tonight as the Courthouse lit up like a Christmas tree during the annual Chase County Country Christmas.
The holiday festivities began Friday evening in Strong City with the lighting of the antique caboose and a showing of the Polar Express in the 1900 Theatre.
Events continued into today through the evening. Kelly Glanville, assistant to the Chase County Chamber of Commerce says the weather played a big part in the weekend success.
Children got the chance to meet Cowboy Santa and tell him everything on their Christmas list. Cowboy Santa has a special message for all the little boys and girls for what Christmas is really about.
Nearly 100 kids got to sit with Cowboy Santa and pet one of his reindeer. Every child left with a treat, a greet, and a smile.
