Several items were on the agenda including leadership team updates and director’s items. Most notable; however, were talks about remodeling the DeBauge Family Sports Complex.
Rec Commission Director Tom McEvoy explains the needs for these updates.
Some of the other proposed renderings include repositioning fields and adding a full-sized turf soccer field.
With these adjustments comes an opportunity to increase the outreach of the sports complex. McEvoy says these changes could benefit everyone because it would make the complex more convenient to use. He anticipates more tournaments could result, and he says there is a possibility the sports complex could host a state tournament down the road.
At this time there is no timeline for the construction of the project. Additional updates have not been announced. The next meeting will be held on Dec. 17 at 5:30pm in the Rec Center.
