The Emporia State men host St. Mary University in their home opener. The Horents take a 1-2 record into the game.

Tip-off at White Auditorium is set for 7pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM with coverage beginning at 6:40p.
Before the game the Emporia State football team will receive their formal invitation to the Corsicana Bowl.
A ceremony will be held at 6pm at White Auditorium with the invitation being delivered. The Hornet football team will accept the bowl invitation at halftime. Emporia State will play Arkansas Monticello in the Corsicana Bowl on December 1st.
