A two-vehicle crash near downtown Emporia sent several people to Newman Regional Health afterward.
A car and SUV collided at Sixth and State shortly after 2 pm. The SUV driver was unhurt. Emporia Fire says four people in the car, a man and three children, were taken to NRH after extensive damage to the car. However, early indications are two of the children needed treatment.
Crash details, including names, are not immediately available and may not be released until Monday.
