Plans continue to develop for Newman Regional Health’s new emergency department — as well as for what will fill some of the space once the new facility opens in the next few weeks.
Lynn Doeden, Newman Regional Health’s clinical administrator, highlighted the upcoming move of Newman ExpressCare during a recent Morning Show appearance.
Doeden says hospital administrators will re-evaluate the different services provided at ExpressCare once the move is completed. However, ExpressCare will still handle medical issues like sore throats, earaches, flu symptoms, minor lacerations and sprains. Occupational services will also stay on the list.
The new emergency department will triple the space of the current emergency department. It will also offer double the room numbers with state-of-the-art amenities in each room.
