Cookies by the hundreds were delivered to Emporia Public Schools teachers, support staffers and administrators Wednesday.
KVOE had short broadcasts from every school building and facility. Superintendent Kevin Case says the different stops indicated the sense of family that permeates the district.
Once again, the deliveries were the end result of a partnership involving the district, Emporia State Federal Credit Union and Emporia NEA. Credit Union manager Angie Miller:
Emporia NEA representative Renee Jenkins enjoyed the time spent with fellow teachers during the roughly three-hour tour.
The cookie deliveries are now part of the district’s celebration of American Education Week. This was the 13th year for the cookie deliveries.
