The season has come to an end for the Emporia State University Soccer team after a 2-1 overtime loss to Minnesota State Mankato in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Minnesota would open the scoring with a goal by Morgan Cottew in the first half. ESU would answer in the 45th minute of play with a goal by Kennedy Hoffman before Minnesota would seal the win in overtime with a goal by Dakota Wendell.
This was the first ever appearance for the Lady Hornets in the NCAA Tournament.
