Part of US Highway 56 has been approved for a road sealing project by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
A 6.5-mile stretch of highway between Council Grove’s eastern city limits and the Lyon-Morris county line will see work. KDOT approved a $211,000 bid from Circle C Paving and Construction out of Goddard.
KDOT has not said when the project will begin.
