The United Way of the Flint Hills is on track to reach their annual fundraising goal.
That was the message from United Way Campaign Chair Vicki Brooks on KVOE’s Newsmaker Friday. Brooks says thanks to the recent Dine United events coupled with their pacesetters and neighborhood and small business campaigns, things are looking very promising.
Funds from the United Way Campaign benefit close to 13,000 people and 23 different organizations from eight different counties.
The next event scheduled for the United Way Campaign is a disc golf tournament on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Hammond Park. The tournament is co-sponsored by Dynamic Discs and the Newman Regional Health United Way Committee.
The tournament will begin with registration at noon, a disc golf clinic at 12:30 and tee off at 1:15.
