Emporia Main Street is in its new home.
For the last two years, Main Street has been planning for, fundraising for and — most recently — refurbishing the space at 729 Commercial. Main Street Director Casey Woods says he’s glad the moving process is just about over — and he says the new office has been busy since Main Street opened its doors.
Main Street had been at 12 East Fifth for nearly its entire history. Woods says the new space is better segmented to help Emporia grow.
Woods says the business incubator space means Main Street can improve its services for entrepreneurs, while the Fab Lab will offer help with entrepreneurial and workforce development.
Woods says the building was wired with extra power to help with downtown events, and WiFi through ValuNet FIBER will help meet the area’s technology needs.
