The Granada Theatre’s Board of Directors is tapping a Kansas native to lead the theater into the future.
Board President Staci Hamman says Aden Lindholm, a McPherson native, will officially assume his new duties Nov. 13. Lindholm comes back to Kansas after serving as a development coordinator and teaching specialist with ArtsEmerson, a contemporary world theater production company based in Boston, Mass.
Hamman says she was “amazed” by the candidates that applied, but Lindholm quickly stood out.
Lindholm replaces Bryan Williams, who resigned in early September after more than five years on the job. Hamman says Lindholm’s experience with budgets and fundraising will serve the theater well — and she credited Williams for making the Granada a concert hub over the past five years.
Lindholm will be at Saturday’s Pure Prairie League and Atlanta Rhythm Section concert before he officially starts his work at the theater. He also takes over as the Granada celebrates the 10th anniversary of a massive remodel and as the theater prepares for the 90th anniversary of its original opening.
