An Osage County teenager was hurt in a crash in Topeka shortly before noon Monday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says two pickups were eastbound on Interstate 470 and had just passed the Burlingame Road exit in south Topeka when the truck driven by 19-year-old Dominic Buterakos of Carbondale slowed down for upcoming traffic. The truck driven by 21-year-old Taylor Rose of Topeka did not stop and rear-ended the other truck shortly before 11:30 am.
Buterakos was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Topeka for treatment. His condition has not been released. Rose was not hurt.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts when the crash happened.
