The Emporia State soccer team closed out the regular season with a 3-0 win at Nebraska Kearney Sunday.
Kennedy Hoffman scored her 5th goal of the season in the 22nd minute of play. Gaby Crowell scored her 2nd goal of the year in the 29th minute of play. Jackie Martinek scored her 4th goal of the 83rd minute of play. Emporia goalkeeper Jillian Patton had 3 saves. It was the 9th shutout of the season for the Lady Hornets. They are now 13-4-1 and finished MIAA regular season play 8-3 and tied for 3rd place. They will be the number 3 seed in the MIAA tournament and will host Northeastern State Wednesday afternoon in the first round.
