For about 75 minutes Thursday, KVOE Morning Show host Ron Thomas traded in his microphone for a barista’s T-shirt.
Thomas served as a guest barista at Granada Coffee Company as the restaurant was the site of the United Way’s latest Dine United event.
Thomas was behind the counter with business owner Bev Beers and other Granada staff for a little more than an hour, creating drinks and serving them to the public.
Fundraising totals are pending with the restaurant donating 15 percent of Thursday’s proceeds to the United Way.
Dine United also continues next Thursday at Olpe Chicken House. That event was rescheduled from earlier this month due to flooding.
