The third annual Boo Cruise bike ride organized by Babes on Bikes invites residents to dress up in their best costumes and take a frightfully fun ride through Emporia. The ride is not the only component of the event as Babes on Bikes member Gretchen Russell explains.
A costume contest will also take place with prizes awarded at the end of the evening.
While the mission of Babes on Bikes is to get more women out and riding, Russel explains they want anyone and everyone to participate saying “we like everybody, boys, girls bring them all and let them ride bikes.
Unlike years past where riders would travel to Bird Bridge, this year riders will take a route through Emporia to explore the city’s spooky history.
Riders will meet at “Babes Alley” at Gravel City Adventure located at 716 Commerical Street. The ride will launch at 7 p.m. with the chilli/soup and costume contests to follow.
