Missouri Western scored 22 unanswered 4th quarter points to defeat the Emporia State football team 42-28 Saturday.
Emporia State quarterback Braxton Marstall threw 3 touchdown passes, 2 to Tyler Harris, one was a 64 yard pass play to give the Hornets a 28-20 going to the 4th quarter.
In the 4th quarter Western scored 3 touchdowns while rushing for 123 yards. Emporia State Coach Garin Higgins said not being able to stop the run was one reason for the loss.
Missouri Western running back James Bailey scored 4 touchdowns on the day.
Emporia State falls to 4-4 for the season and will play at Washburn next Saturday.
