Madison overcame early miscues to defeat Chase County 54-8 Friday night.
Madison would take a 14-0 lead in the first quarter off two touchdown runs by quarterback Ryan Wolgram for 31 and 33 yards. In the second Madison added to their lead with touchdowns by Nason Wasson and Chase Harrison to take a 34-0 lead into halftime.
Chase County would score their lone touchdown in the third thanks to a 22 yard run by quarterback Cael Budke. Madison would answer back with two touchdown runs by Wasson to close out the game.
Madison had 335 rushing yards and a total of 475 yards of total offense.
Wolgram says there are a few areas they need to clean up heading into the playoffs.
With the win Madison ends the regular season with an 8-0 record and will host Peabody Thursday night. Chase County falls to 1-7 and will play their final game next week.
