The Emporia State soccer team defeated Lindenwood 1-0 Friday afternoon.
Aislinn Hughes scored the lone goal in the 80th minute of play.
The Lady Hornets out shot Lindenwood 8-2 on goal. Goalie Jillian Patton had to make only 2 saves. The Lady Hornets are now 10-4-1 for the season and 5-3 in MIAA play. The 10 wins equals the most wins in a season in program history. They will host Central Missouri Sunday afternoon.
