The zombies are coming.
It’s not a Walking Dead moment. Instead, it’s all planned as the Emporia Police Department Benefit Association holds its annual Zombie Run and fall movie event.
Police officer Pablo Delgadillo says the Benefit Association enjoys holding these community events.
Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for kids. On-site registration at Jones Park begins at 4:30 pm with the run starting at 5:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the fall movie is “Hocus Pocus,” and it’s free for the community. Seating begins at 6:45 pm in Jones Park, with the movie beginning shortly after sunset. Find out more about both activities by finding the Benefit Association’s Facebook page.
