Its week 8 of the high school football season, the final week to determine play-off seedings. Emporia High is currently in 9th place in the 5A west standings. They could move up to 7th with a win at Junction City Friday.

The top 8 teams in the region will host first round playoff games.
7 area teams have already clinched a playoff spot. Madison is a district champion.
Waverly, Lebo, Burlingame, Osage City, Southern Coffey County and Mission Valley.
Olpe will be playing for a district title Friday at Hillsboro.
