The Emporia High girls golf team finished in 12th place at the 5A State tournament played at Hesston Tuesday.
Individually, Makayla Kusmaul had the best finish for the Lady Spartans finishing in 51st place. Brynn Riley finished in 70th place. Drue Davis 76th and Veronica Blankley 86th. St. Thomas Aquinas won the team title. Tiffany Chan of Andover won to medalist honors.
