Greenwood County deputies have arrested three individuals after allegations the trio, all felons, tried to sell firearms illegally.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies served warrants at a currently unlisted address in Hamilton on Oct. 10 after at least one individual tried to trade firearms for a vehicle on social media. Further details have not been released.
Deven Clark and Michelle Harber were both arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm along with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jess Jardot, meanwhile, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
The Kansas Department of Corrections says Clark has convictions for flee and elude, theft, burglary, interference with law enforcement and attempted arson since 2007. Jardot, meanwhile, was convicted on a drug possession count in 2015.
Formal charges have been filed against all three in this case, all mirroring the initial arrest affidavits, according to the Greenwood County Clerk of the District Court Office. First appearances are set for Tuesday afternoon in Greenwood County District Court.
