This is an important week for voters in Lyon County.
First, the deadline to register or change current registration is at the close of business Tuesday. Then comes Saturday, when Lyon County will have its first advance voting event. County Clerk Tammy Vopat, KVOE’s 8:05 am newscast guest today (M), says voters have been clamoring for a day like this.
Voting is from 9 am-1 pm at Flinthills Mall, coinciding with the Interactive Health Fest. All Lyon County registered voters are invited to participate. Folks taking part will need to bring a valid ID.
Officially, advance voting then begins Oct. 22 at the Election Office inside the County Courthouse.
