The Emporia State volleyball team defeated Missouri Western 3 sets to 1 Saturday.
The Lady Hornets won the first set 26-24. Western won the 2nd set 25-22. Emporia State won the 3rd set 25-23 and the 4th set 25-22. Taylor Otting led the offense with 19 kills, Tatum Graves added 15 kills and Aliyah Bernard finished with 11 kills. Emma Dixon had a double-double of 50 assists and 15 digs. Allie Maloney finished with a team high 24 digs. The Lady Hornets return to action Tuesday when they host Washburn.
