One of five defendants in a drug distribution case has been bound over for trial with a new charge added.
At a preliminary hearing for Amanda Alvarado on Friday, Judge Lee Fowler added a count of aggravated child endangerment. Alvarado was already charged with distributing stimulants and other counts.
Word on a court date is pending.
Alvarado and Cole Bowen face the same charges as the overall case continues, with Bowen having a pretrial hearing Nov. 14. Jacob Rodriguez, charged with drug distribution within 1,000 feet of a school, will have a pretrial hearing Oct. 26. Luis Guillen, charged with drug distribution within 1,000 feet of a school and other counts, has a pretrial hearing Nov. 2. Seana Herron, charged with drug distribution within 1,000 feet of a school and other counts, had her preliminary hearing continued to Nov. 14.
